4. GENERAL RATE POLICIES A. Ads must meet the acceptability standards of the Levy County Journal Newspaper. B. The publisher reserves the right to accept, classify, cancel, edit or reject any advertising copy submitted, and to place the words “paid advertising” on any ad. C. Publisher shall have no liability whatsoever, by reason of any error in connection with any advertising, including (without limitation) failures to publish advertising on desired dates, omissions or additions to advertisements. The publisher will not be responsible for and shall incur no liability for errors or misprints beyond cancellation of the charges or publishing a correction in a space equal to that occupied by the error. Newspaper will not be responsible for errors after the first publication of a repeat ad. D. The advertiser assumes full and complete responsibility for advertising content that is published. The advertiser shall indemnify and save the publisher harmless against any demands, claims or liability arising from the publication of said advertising copy. The advertiser shall reimburse the publisher in settlement of claims or in satisfaction of judgments obtained by reason of the publication of such advertising copy together with all expenses incurred in connection therewith, including, but not limited to attorney’s fees and cost of litigation. E. Preferred position, when available, will include a 20% surcharge to the cost of the advertisement. 5. RETAIL ADVERTISING RATES

Advertisers will be held to the conditions of the contract. If the contract is not fulfilled as agreed we will charge the advertiser the difference between the rate given and the actual earned rate based on the number of inches used for ads published. Advertisers must pay on time to be eligible for contract discounts. By signing an advertising contract you are agreeing to all terms and conditions listed in this rate card. B. Advertisers will be furnished proofs upon request, if advertising copy is submitted in advance of proof deadline. Proof corrections should be limited to minor corrections or deletions in copy originally submitted by advertiser. Newspaper will assume no liability or responsibility for errors in advertisements proof read but not corrected by the advertisers. C. Adjustments for errors will be made in the form of additional advertising space and will be in no greater amount than the space occupied by the error. No allowances will be made for errors that do not materially affect the value of the advertisements. Notice of errors must be given in time for correction before additional insertions are made. The newspaper will not be responsible for more than one incorrect insertion of an ad. Claims for error adjustment must be made within seven days of date of publication. The newspaper will adjust or rebate the charges on any ad or portion of an ad materially affected, when not corrected according to proof instructions. The newspaper assumes no liability regardless of proof correction made other than to adjust, rebate or publish the ad or portion of the advertisement which has been materially affected by the error. D. The newspaper assumes no financial responsibility for errors in advertisements of preprint inserts. E. All property rights, including any copyright interests in advertisements produced by the newspaper shall be the sole property of the newspaper. No such advertisement or any part thereof may be reproduced without the prior written consent of the newspaper. F. Advertising will be published on the dates requested. If for some reason, advertising cannot be placed as requested, the publisher will not be held liable for damages to the advertiser. Publisher shall not be liable for interruptions, delays, postponements or other failures to perform by reasons of acts of God, strikes, lockouts or other industrial disturbances or blockades, riots, arrests, explosions, fires, accidents to machinery, failures of equipment or systems of publisher, or causes not within the control of the Publisher. G. Placing an order, whether verbal or written, for an advertisement is an acceptance of all rate policies and conditions. Failure to make order correspond in price or with any other aspect of the rate card is regarded only as a clerical error. Publications will be made and charged at the rates and terms in effect at the time of the order. No further notification will be required from the newspaper in this event. H. Photographs of individuals for advertising use must be accompanied by a release from the individual. Release forms are available from the advertising department. 10. CLOSING TIME / DEADLINES
